Today’s obituaries: Teresa Root owned and operated Mother’s Restaurant for 35 years

Teresa C. Root, 88, of Lyncourt, died Friday at Loretto.

According to Root’s obituary, she was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and had lived in the Syracuse area for 64 years.

She had owned and operated of Mother’s Restaurant in Liverpool for 35 years. The restaurant closed in 2010.
