Distinguished Faculty Lecture Nomination

The Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series Committee of the Lamar University Faculty Senate is pleased to announce the 2020 call for nominations of individuals to present a distinguished faculty lecture. We look forward to sharing and learning more about the depth and breadth of our faculty research in a virtual presentation.

President Evans will approve the award and lecture topic before the winner is notified. The award amount is $3,000. The winner will be announced at the 2020 November Faculty Senate meeting first, then to the University body by campus announcement.

Deadline to submit the nomination is October 5, 2020.

Criterion for Selection

  1. General Interest = 20
  2. Depth of Background = 20
  3. Current Research = 20
  4. Community Relations/Interest = 10
  5. Presentation Skills = 30
