Muslim ban
CAIRO (AFP) - Al-Azhar, the highest Sunni Muslim authority, has banned books by Muslim and Christian Egyptian authors, including the complete works of Farag Foda, a Muslim who was killed by Islamic militants in July, literary sources said. A novel by Edward Kharrat, a Christian, and poems by Hassan Teleb, a Muslim, were banned.
