CSEAP provides emergency financial assistance grants to qualifying state employees through generous funding by the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation. Please ensure you meet the following criteria BEFORE completing the application linked below:

  • Qualified applicants must prove a minimum of 6 months of employment as a state employee.
  • Eligible uses of funds include housing (rent only or hotel in emergencies), utilities, and food.

Assistance is not approved for attorney fees, court costs, credit card or car payments, mortgage payments, medical bills, funeral expenses, debt payments, cable/streaming/internet costs, education costs, home improvements, or cell phone bills.

If you have recurring financial need, please schedule a financial counseling appointment (303-866-4314) to discuss available resources. While current times of inflation or higher cost of living are financially difficult for many, only limited funds are available and are granted only for acute and specific financial crises. CSEAP and the Credit Union of Colorado are often unable to approve multiple requests from the same party in one year.

>To insure swift processing, please complete the on-line application below. If your request is approved, checks are mailed to applicants 4-6 business days after the date of approval. Please ensure you are in touch with your landlord/property owner, utility provider, or local food banks for immediate assistance - CSEAP cannot guarantee a specific turnaround time when granting financial assistance.

Visit our Local Assistance webpage for additional financial resources.

Call CSEAP at 1-800-821-8154 or 303-866-4314 with questions about the application process.
