CLEVELAND, Ohio — Three days into full-squad workouts and the Cleveland Indians have an idea what their exhibition pitching rotation will look like. Manager Terry Francona said Wednesday that Jefry Rodriguez will start the Cactus League opener on Saturday against Cincinnati at Goodyear Ballpark.
On tonight’s special edition of the Cleveland Baseball Talk Podcast, Tribe beat writer Paul Hoynes says lefty Scott Moss will follow on Sunday against Kansas City and Zach Plesac will start against Colorado on Monday.
Hoynsie also breaks down how Francona will handle Brad Hand’s spring with the goal of keeping Hand’s left arm fresh for the duration of the season.
Other areas we explore on this special edition of the podcast include:
- Will Andrew Velazquez find a home in Baltimore?
- Can Jake Bauers’ offseason swing work make him irreplaceable in the Tribe lineup?
- What did Omar Vizquel once do during an intra-squad game that upset Jose Mesa?
