Has Jack Miller been overlooked in Ohio State football’s 2020 signing class?

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State football’s first quarterback commitment for the 2020 class — a class in which it absolutely needed at least one legitimate, highly skilled quarterback — came from Arizona’s Jack Miller.

Then, as a shoulder injury interrupted Miller’s senior season, another quarterback prospect kept rising up the national rankings. CJ Stroud committed to Ohio State in December and was awarded a fifth star in his scouting profile last month.

Miller, however, kept his commitment to the Buckeyes when some might have looked for an easier path. He will compete with Stroud for the backup job behind returning starter Justin Fields and, one assumes, for the starting job in 2021.

With Stroud making that late surge, have people forgotten Miller’s own impressive profile? He is a four-star prospect who, if he had held or improved his composite ranking of 0.9819 from February 2018, would have arrived at OSU as a top-50 recruit.

What position will Ohio State football’s Kourt Williams play?

Is Miller’s potential, and his chance to win the quarterback competition with Stroud, being overlooked? Cleveland.com’s Doug Lesmerises, Nathan Baird and Stephen Means discuss in the video above.
