COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Evan Pryor of William Amos Hough High School included Ohio State football among his top six schools still in consideration.
The Buckeyes joined a list that included Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Penn State and USC. He trimmed down his list from a list he revealed in November, eliminating Alabama, Florida, LSU, Oregon and Wisconsin from the field. The four-star recruit is rated as the nation’s No. 87 overall player and No. 6 running back.

Ohio State is in dire need of a high-level running back recruit after striking out in both its 2019 and 2020 recruiting class. Pryor is one of five top high-level running back recruits that the Buckeyes could land at this point in the recruiting process. He is the second to put out an official list of schools in contention this year joining Lovasea Carroll of IMG Academy in Florida.
Pryor has run for 2,571 yards and 24 touchdowns on 393 carries in the last three seasons while adding 77 catches for 1,103 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Four-star offensive lineman sets his official visit
Kentucky native Jager Burton of Frederick Douglass High School has decided on which schools he will take official visits to and Ohio State is among them. The four-star recruit — who is rated as the nation’s No. 183 overall player and No. 6 guard — will take trips to Alabama, Clemson, Kentucky, Ohio State and Oregon.
Adding Burton — who is crystal balled to pick OSU — would give the Buckeyes three offensive linemen in its 2021 recruiting class along with Donovan Jackson and Ben Christman.
