ORANGE VILLAGE, Ohio - Saucy Brew Works is scheduled to open this April in the Pinecrest development in Orange Village.

The location will include a 142-seat taproom with indoor and outdoor seating, 20 draft lines and coffeehouse in the mixed-use district. It also will feature a small brewing operation.

Saucy's Pinecrest location is at 400 Park Ave., Suite 169, across from West Elm furniture store.

The Pinecrest location will not feature a full kitchen, but will have light fare and the ability to order in through outside vendors.

Saucy Coffee offerings will include a single-origin house roast, pour-overs, espresso and a specialty menu inspired by Saucy beers such as What’s His Nuts, a Vanilla Stout with peanut butter and coffee, and Modern Crimes, a Toasted Coconut Porter. Saucy Brew Works owners Brent Zimmerman and Eric Anderson also plan to package their house roast.

Saucy's expansion to Pinecrest allows the brewery to gain an East Side presence while serving a craft-beer clientele. Pinecrest's dining and entertainment offerings cover a variety of culinary styles, from burgers at Shake Shack to more upscale dining at Firebirds or steaks at RED Pinecrest. The one place that had a decided focus on craft beer - City Works - closed. The bar-restaurant had 90 taps, with about 40 percent local. But the 9,000-square-foot space proved a bit too ambitious, and the Chicago-based company closed its doors at the location in late October.

Saucy Brew Works, which opened in 2017 in Cleveland's Hingetown neighborhood, is expanding at a considerable clip: It has a presence in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. The brewery also has plans to open in Columbus and Detroit. And this week, cleveland.com's Courtney Astolfi reported Cuyahoga County is mulling a $1.5 million loan for a brewery and production facility in Independence next to the recently opened Topgolf.

Pinecrest covers 400,000 square feet of dining, shopping and entertainment options in addition to offices, hotel and apartments.
