Charles Barkley sideswipes Cleveland Browns on 'NBA on TNT’ pregame show

Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley appears at the NBA All-Star Game on February 12, 2015 in New York City.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Philadelphia 76ers are 10 games above .500 and on track to make the playoffs.

Charles Barkley calls them “the Cleveland Browns of the NBA.”

Wait... what?

The complisult happened on Thursday’s edition of the “NBA on TNT.”

“I picked the Sixers to get to the Finals. I think they are the softest, mentally weakest team that had a bunch of talent," Barkley said. “They are the Cleveland Browns of the NBA. They got a lot of talent, and they talk the talk, and that’s it."

The NBA Hall of Famer continued, “One of our bosses... he had me on the Cleveland Browns bandwagon. They came out telling everybody how good they were going to be and then they got punched in the mouth in Game 1 and got punched for the rest of the season. The Philadelphia 76ers, my preseason pick to get to the Finals, they just talk.”

Oh, Chuck. The Browns have been so bad for so long, we still wax nostalgic about 2007 (10-6!) and 2014 (7-4 after 11 games!) like they were the good 'ol days. The Sixers have been to the postseason 9 times since the last time the Browns made it.

So keep our name... oh, nevermind.
