CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Hours after the NFL reinstated Myles Garrett on Wednesday, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph lost his appeal of a $50,000 fine for his role in last season’s Week 11 incident at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Garrett was suspended for the final six games of the season for hitting Rudolph on the head with Rudolph’s helmet. Maurkice Pouncey and Larry Ogunjobi also missed games as a result of the on-field melee.

Rudolph was not suspended, but his fine contributed to the $809,628 in total fines originally handed out by the league following the game. The final total of fines for the fight totaled $732,422, which is believed to be an NFL record for one brawl.
