Diane Burkholder, Lead Consultant (she/her) is a cisgender, Black mixed-race, queer equity consultant and community organizer who relocated back to California after spending nine years in Kansas City, MO. She is the founder of the DB Approach, providing anti-oppression and social justice facilitation, coaching, and training for non-profits, universities, and arts organizations.
Diane co-founded One-Struggle KC, a Movement for Black Lives affiliated organization, and the Missouri HIV Justice Coalition, which focused on improving the state’s HIV criminilization laws. She co-chaired the American Humanist Associations LGBTQ Alliance, focusing on secular activism and equity.
During her downtime, when she’s not chasing sunsets or traveling across the country, she lives under the rule of her cat, Rosa (Parks). Full work history is available here.
