Tapestry’s search for a new chief financial officer is over.
Starting Aug. 1, Joanne Crevoiserat will move into the company’s c-suite. Crevoiserat comes with more than 30 years experience in finance and has worked for a number of retailers, such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Kohl’s, Walmart Stores and department store Filene’s.
“I look forward to partnering with the entire leadership team to drive value as the firm executes its long-term global growth strategy,” Crevoiserat said in a statement.
Crevoiserat is replacing Kevin Wills, who departed Tapestry in February to become the cfo of Pilot Flying J Travel Centers. Andrea Shaw Resnick, Tapestry’s global head of investor relations and corporate communications, served as the interim cfo.
As cfo, Crevoiserat will be responsible for financial functions at Tapestry, which has Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman under the company umbrella.
“[Crevoiserat] is well known for promoting an authentic and collaborative culture with her team and colleagues and given her extensive experience, Joanne is very familiar with the opportunities we have in front of us today,” Victor Luis, chief executive officer of Tapestry, also said in the statement. “As we continue to implement our portfolio strategy, I am confident that Joanne is the right leader and strategic business partner to our teams as we drive Tapestry’s next chapter of growth as a global house of brands.”
Luis has previously made the case for continued growth at Tapestry with the addition of a new creative director at Kate Spade, a push into men’s wear at Coach and as all three brands become more prominent abroad. Shares of Tapestry were up slightly during Wednesday’s trading session, but are down roughly 35 percent year-over-year.
