Almost 70 Percent of Britons Expect Taxes to Grow After Brexit - Poll
03:52 GMT 22.11.2017 (Updated: 13:52 GMT 06.08.2022) The poll conducted by the ComRes research consultancy showed Tuesday that as many as 78 percent of British nationals believe that the UK government does not spend tax money wisely.
The survey's results have also indicated that as many as 69 percent of people believe that taxes in the United Kingdom will be growing as the country leaves the European Union.
"Almost seven in ten (69%) of people expect taxes to rise as Britain exits the EU," ComRes said in a press release.

The poll has also found that 67 percent of respondents think that government should
invest more in public services, even if it means paying higher taxes, with as many as 51 percent of interviewees having expressed their readiness to pay increased taxes to boost spending on public services.
The survey was conducted among 2,052 British adults aged 18 and over on November 15-16.
The United Kingdom held the Brexit referendum on June 23, 2016. The negotiations on the UK withdrawal from the bloc are expected to conclude by the end of March 2019.
