Tu Nguyen aspired investment banker and environmentalist

"What would you do if you weren't afraid?"

― Sheryl Sandberg, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead

Hello, I am Tu!

I love trees, because trees remind me of growth. As a student portfolio manager and an investment analyst at Titan Capital Management, my everyday job is growing money. As a lifelong learner, I always seek opportunities to better myself and grow my experiences, like how trees reach toward the sunlight.

Goals to reach toward the sunlight

  • Passing the CFA Level I exam in June 2020
  • Once graduate in May 2020, become an investment banker

Research reports

In October 2019, I wrote a buy report on Waste Management, which was approved and executed by the Board for a 4% position. One thing I believe I could have done better is to come up with more risks and worst scenarios.

In November 2019, I write a sell report on Boeing. I had a difficult time working the report because my opinion was unpopular among my colleagues. Nevertheless, after a thorough research and addressing each of my colleague's concern, I was able to get a majority vote to sent the paper to Board.
