BSMS sTAFF AND STUDENTS do amazing things every day!

Street Industries

Street Industries is Bridge Street's Simulated Workplace program.  Students will have the opportunity to apply for jobs that will be housed in a 9th period workplace program.  They will attend our job fair, and choose an area that they feel applies to their talents, ambitions, and future goals.  These workplaces will allow students to gain experience needed for a potential future in the workplace of their choosing.  Not only will students learn skills in specific areas such as broadcasting, management, engineering, domestic arts, robotics, and gardening, but they will also hone skills like leadership, responsibility, and accountability.  Please continue following our page for photos and updates as the school year progresses!

Street Time

Street Time is a unique time set aside each day from 1:05-1:30 pm to promote the successful navigation of life. Street Time groups consist of one teacher "mentor" with approximately 12-13 students. Once a week, teacher mentors go over a Second Step Curriculum Lesson, which consists of interactive lessons focusing on Mindset & Goals, Bullying & Harassment, Emotions & Decision Making, and Managing Relationships and Social Conflict. Other days of the week teacher mentors conduct one-on-one conferences with each student on a weekly basis, allow time for students to study and complete homework, and small group meetings with a focus on more specific needs such as Healthy Ways to Deal with Stress, Anger Management, Diversity, Healthy Relationships, Perseverance & Resilience, New Family Dynamics, and more.

Our goal is to help support and build our students as well-rounded human beings with life skills to successfully navigate not only academics, but the journey of life.
