Xuan Chen

Ph.D. Candidate

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Agricultural and Applied Economics at the Pennsylvania State University (PSU). I specialize in food and health economics, quantitative marketing, and empirical industrial organization. Currently, my research focuses on (i) the interaction of health, information, and consumer food purchase behaviors, (ii) pricing and marketing strategies of food manufacturers, retailers, and farmers, and (iii) economic analysis of local food and agricultural policy. My research leverages insights from large household and retailer scanner data to analyze the purchase behaviors of individuals.
