COVID-19 Pollinate Group position and 100 day response

Last updated May 13, 2020.

Pollinate Group’s board and management is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely, using the advice of government in India, Nepal and Australia, as well as the World Health Organization.

As an organization focused on serving people living in extreme poverty—an already vulnerable population—health and safety continues to be our priority. We are also closely monitoring the situation for our team and volunteers based across multiple countries.

As of May 13, 2020 there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 among Pollinate Group team members or from the communities we serve.

For further information relating to the COVID-19 infection please see the World Health Organization’s FAQs.

Team

All staff and volunteers are advised to be aware of symptoms.

Our team has been working from home from Monday 15 March and will continue to do so until further notice, as we continue to reassess the situation. Controls remain in place for international and domestic travel.

Communities

Visits to communities and inviting community members to our offices for training is cancelled until further notice. Our field and sales team members are keeping communication channels open with contacts in the communities.

We will continue our work with women entrepreneurs in the communities, with a focus enabling them to raise awareness around health and hygiene.

We deeply care for and respect the people living in communities we serve and will seek to understand any COVID-19 related changes to their situation, providing support as appropriate.

Programs

Programs scheduled for May to July have been postponed and we have informed our partners and participants.

We continue to work with our suppliers to understand their situations and any impacts on orders or future availability.
