CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A mere 24 hours after earning All-South Region honors, the Nova Southeastern trio of Valentina Albertazzi, Sofia Garcia Austt and Hanna Ahlander has now been recognized as All-Americans by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), marking the third consecutive year the Sharks have had at least three players represented across each of the All-America teams. Just a freshman, Albertazzi has been named a member of the First Team, while Garcia Austt and Ahlander were tabbed as Second Team and Honorable Mention selections, respectively. The three combined accolades are tied for second-most of any program, trailing only Dallas Baptist.

Albertazzi burst onto the scene in a big way in her first collegiate season, climbing as high as No. 1 in the Golfstat player rankings before eventually wrapping up the year at No. 3. The Spaniard collected seven Top-10 finishes in as many tournament appearances, registering a team-best scoring average of 72.15. Albertazzi set two single-season program marks along the way, taking over the top spots in the record books for versus par scoring average (+0.30) and Par-4 scoring average (4.0558). Additionally, she tallied 10 rounds of par or better, including six in her final seven rounds of the season. Following a season-best effort of (-5) 67 in the opening round, Albertazzi went on to capture her first career victory at the Lady Moc Golf Classic. Her 54-hole score of (-11) 205 at the event marked the second lowest in program history, trailing only NSU Hall of Famer Taylor Collins, who carded a (-13) 203 through the first three rounds of the 2011 NCAA Division II Championship. Albertazzi ended the season as the highest ranked freshman in the country.

Garcia Austt collects her second career All-America nod thanks to a notable junior season in which she rattled off five Top-10 finishes in seven tournaments before concluding 2019-20 ranked as Division II's No. 11 player. Over the course of 20 rounds, she recorded a scoring average of 73.80, including four rounds of par or better. Garcia Austt opened the year by tying for fourth at the Division I-heavy BUBBA Burger Jacksonville Classic, and later tied for second at the NSU Shark Invitational following an opening round of (-4) 68.

Following an impressive 2018-19 season in which she was lauded Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year, Ahlander continued to shine as one of the nation's very best during her sophomore campaign, ultimately closing the year as the No. 17 player in NCAA Division II. In seven starts in 2019-20, the Vasteras, Sweden native posted a scoring average of 74.60, tallying seven rounds of par or better in the process. A season-low round of (-5) 67 on the final day of the BUBBA Burger Jacksonville Classic propelled Ahlander to her first career win, and as a result, also landed her the first SSC Player of the Week award of her career.

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition.
