INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – On the outside looking in a week ago, Nova Southeastern now finds itself squarely in the NCAA Tournament conversation after rising from No. 8 up to No. 4 in the latest release of the south region rankings.
The new poll only counts games through Nov. 3, meaning the Sharks' upset of Rollins has yet to factor into the equation. Even then, head coach
John Constable's team made the region's biggest move, and now stands in a strong position to keep its four-year postseason run alive.
For the moment, Rollins remains atop the region, followed by Gulf South Conference members Mississippi College and Lee at No. 2 and No. 3. Montevallo climbed one spot into No. 5, while West Alabama slid to No. 6. Just outside the all-important Top-6, both West Florida and Embry-Riddle have a hold of No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
NSU can clinch the Sunshine State Conference regular season championship with a victory this Friday at Eckerd. For complete coverage of the action, visit the
schedule page on NSUSharks.com or follow the Sharks on Twitter @NSU_WSoccer.
