MELBOURNE, Fla. – Fresh off a multi-goal performance in a crucial road win over Embry-Riddle, forward
Hannah Christophe has been named the Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office earlier Monday.
The award marks the second of Christophe's career.
In a battle between a pair of teams in the hunt for the NCAA Tournament, Christophe helped bolster NSU's chances by carrying the Sharks to a 2-0 victory on the Eagles' Senior Night. The Canadian scored twice in the early stages of the second half, recording her second multi-goal effort of the season, and in the process, moved into fourth all-time in program history with 29 career goals. She now ranks second in the league in both goals (12) and points (29).
Following the win, the Sharks remain in contention for the SSC regular season title and home-field advantage throughout the SSC Tournament.
NSU will look to take a big step in locking up the SSC when it hosts Rollins this Tuesday at 6 p.m. For coverage of the action, visit theÂ
