Women’s Swimming Fourth, Men’s Ninth in CSCAA/TYR Top 25 Division II Preseason Poll

Both teams ranked in the Top-10

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Nova Southeastern men's and women's swimming and diving teams have each been ranked in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Div. II Preseason Dual Meet Poll, as announced by the CSCAA office on Wednesday. The women sit in fourth place while the men are currently ranked ninth.

"It's nice to be honored by our peers," voiced head coach Ben Hewitt. "There is tremendous depth at this level and I think it speaks to the special atmosphere that is D2 swimming. It continues to get better and more competitive every year, driving quite a bit of parody within our dual meet season and in championship season as well."

Queens University of Charlotte holds the number one spot for both the men and women.
Voted number two in the Women's Div. II poll, 10 points behind Queens, was UC San Diego. Drury, Nova Southeastern and West Chester take the third, fourth and fifth slots on the women's side. The Queens' men held onto the number one spot, coming off an impressive 2018-2019 season, but sitting only five points back in the number two spot is Indianapolis. Delta State, McKendree and Grand Valley round out the top five spots for the men.

"The committee has clearly done their homework on each team and while we are honored to be recognized, it's just not about where we sit in the middle of the season, but where we stand in championship season," explained Hewitt.
