A Case Study Using DNA to Corroborate a Family's Oral Tradition. A GSBC Education Presentation In-Person

“A Case Study Using DNA to Corroborate a Family's Oral Tradition.” Presented by LaBrenda Garrett-Nelson, JD, LLM, CG®, CGL(SM)  President, Board for Certification of Genealogists, LabGarrettGenealogy.com.

Although DNA evidence is not always available, relevant, or usable for a specific problem, genealogists need to make sound decisions about when DNA can or should be used. In applying the standard for analyzing DNA test results, the genealogist must address all relevant factors that might affect determining a genetic relationship.

A GSBC Education Committee in conjunction with the Broward County Library African-American Research Library and Cultural Center.
