A portion of sidewalk on the north side of East Alexander Drive east of South Haleyville Street, adjacent to the Murphy Creek bridge, is closed until further notice due to unstable ground conditions underneath the cement.

This section of sidewalk is now blocked off and clearly marked as closed. Pedestrians should not attempt to use the sidewalk under any circumstances. City engineers are evaluating the extent of reconstruction that will be required to ensure the sidewalk is safe for pedestrians again.

Pedestrians should use the south sidewalk on East Alexander Drive in this section until the reconstruction is complete.
