Responding to Human Trafficking

Grants to Address Trafficking Within the Child Welfare Population: Nine 5-year grants were awarded in 2014 to develop their child welfare systems’ response to human trafficking.

Preventing Youth Homelessness

Implementation Grants to Develop a Model Intervention for Youth/Young Adults With Child Welfare Involvement At-Risk of Homelessness: Six 3-year grants were awarded in 2015 to refine and implement plans to prevent youth homelessness among young people with child welfare involvement.

Read about Federal and local efforts to support young people through the Youth At-Risk of Homelessness (YARH) multi-phase grant program, strengthening grantee capacity through technical assistance, and strategies for youth engagement in service planning.

Strengthening Families Experiencing Domestic Violence

Quality Improvement Center on Child Welfare Involved Children and Families Experiencing Domestic Violence: One 5-year grant was awarded in 2016 to develop system interventions to improve outcomes for children and families experiencing domestic violence. 

Futures Without Violence National Advisory Council

Read about a new adult and child survivor-centered approach to working with families affected by domestic violence as well as guidance on building essential protective factors, both developed by the Quality Improvement Center on Domestic Violence in Child Welfare (QIC-DVCW).

Supporting Families Affected by Substance Use

Regional Partnership Grants to Increase the Well-Being of, and to Improve the Permanency Outcomes for, Children Affected by Substance Abuse: Ten 3-year grants were awarded  in 2018 to develop interagency collaborations to improve outcomes for children affected by a caregiver's substance use.

Read about two models of support for families affected by substance use in this technical assistance brief developed by the National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare, the programmatic technical assistance provider for regional partnership grants (RPG).
