CCI Speer named Prairie High School Graduate Carson Forsman the Academic All-Star of the year.

“It feels awesome to be named academic all-star you know. It’s just awesome,” Forsman said.

Forsman went above in beyond during his time in high school. He spent his free time volunteering at his local church, creating art projects for charity fundraisers, and providing firewood for the elderly.

Along with the title of Academic All-Star of the year, CCI Speer awarded Forsman $1,000 to further his education. This was presented Forsman on a giant check.

“I’ve seen giant checks with other people’s names on them, but never mine so that’s awesome,” Forsman said.

“Performance is there with his G.P.A., championships in football. He obviously states hard work, and it takes a lot of hard word to do all the things he accomplished,” Bill Mackelit, CCI Speer Senior Operations Director, said.

Forsman plans to attend North Idaho College to attend vocational school and one day become a shop teacher.

He said the $1,000 giant check will help pay for tools so he can start off ready.

Congratulations Carson Forsman, Academic All-Star of the year.
