Opportunity at a Glance: Join Randi Weingarten & the Center for Professional Education of Teachers at Teachers College, Columbia University for an evening of provocative conversation as we discuss policy, pedagogy, and examine the biggest issues affecting schools, teachers, and students. From massive teacher strikes, to Common Core Standards, and the school choice debate, Randi Weingarten has been a fierce defender for the American teacher for decades. Her role as the President of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) provides her with a unique perspective and deep insight into the successes and struggles of American education.
