Deeper Comprehension: Signposts for Young Readers presented by Kylene Beers & Bob Probst PLUS Meet the Author, Crystal Allen – Grades K-5

Open to: Elementary Teachers and administrators.

Opportunity at a Glance: Kylene Beers & Bob Probst bring their signature humor and literacy expertise to this session focusing deep reading. They will share innovative, cutting edge ways to incorporate their ‘signposts’ for reading comprehension into K-5 reading lessons. Participants will explore practical reading strategies to foster deep, meaningful interaction with texts and higher level thinking and discussion in elementary classrooms. The day will conclude with a reading and discussion by Crystal Allen who is most known for the popular The Magnificent Mya Tibbs series. Participants will receive several of the author’s books. CTLE is available.
