Webinar Series: Teaching and Leading with Trauma-Informed Care

 Supporting Educator and Student Well-Being

Educators now more than ever need trauma-informed care to meet the challenges of today’s educational environments. The Center on Great Teachers and Leaders collaborated with national partners and leading educators to produce a webinar series focused on the developing the use of evidence-based trauma-informed practices. Included in this work are three webinars that highlight strategies specific to fostering resilience and well-being for educators, for educators as they work with their students, and for school leaders as they work to build trust and well-being in their school communities.

Each webinar includes resources and handouts (below) that support educators in building knowledge and skill in trauma-informed practices. The Educator Stress Spectrum was created to support teacher teams in gaining greater awareness of individual and collective context and stressors. While the Self-Assessment and Planning Tools were designed to support educators with concrete strategies for building resilience and well-being as individuals, in the classroom, and in school communities. Note: Language in these tools may be dated, yet the content remains evergreen and relevant to meeting today’s needs of students, teachers and school leaders.
