[ITU-T] VRS / REQ 9a: Provide or ensure support for video relay and remote interpretation services. #23

My quick comment is on VRS. The current draft has:

REQ 9a: Provide or ensure support for video relay and remote interpretation services. This user need may relate to interoperability with third-party services; IETF has looked at standardizing a way to use Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) with VRS services. [ietf-relay] VRS calls may be made between ASL (American Sign Language) users and hearing persons speaking either English or Spanish.

Why do you limit VRS to ASL and English/Spanish? It may be applicable to the US, but it does not even cover North America, as Canada uses LSQ and French as well.

@nitedog This seems to be reflecting IETF phrasings but I agree that we should use just "sign language" in place of ASL or any other specific sign language.
