Inspiring Change. Leading with Love.

Last summer we shared our commitments to teach kids about kindness, unity, anti-racism and love, as well as to lift up creatives of color. We started our GoodBooks series and donated $25,000 to The Conscious Kid toward their work of promoting healthy racial identity in youth. We also donated $25,000 to HFR’s Icon360. In the fall, we launched a phenomenal collection with three talented, multicultural designers from Harlem’s Fashion Row. We also gave $7,500 to Brown Girls Do Ballet to celebrate diversity in dance on Giving Tuesday.

Doing what’s right continues to be a priority for us, and we’ve made some inspiring friends along the way. In honor of Black History Month, we’re learning about important figures from the past and those making history now.

We’re adding Black History books to our library curated by The Conscious Kid and hosting special GoodBooks storytimes. We’re also excited to share exclusive styles created with Brown Girls Do Ballet (more to come later this year). And we have a few new favorites from Black-owned brand Shyv Beauty, started by a model from our Harlem’s Fashion Row campaign.

There’s more work to do and a lot more to look forward to. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating Black History Month and inclusion all year round.

With love,
All of us at Janie and Jack
