Cheryl Hopkins
Thank you for visiting my Donate in Memory page. As many of you know, Cheryl was diagnosed with AML, Acute Myloid Leukemia at the end of November 2019, and had to undergo 3 four week stays in hospital, commencing 8th December. She had intensive Chemotherepy, blood transfusions and much more, and was in remission, just having the final treatment, when she was cruelly infected with the COVID-19, passing way on Monday 13th of April. She will greatly missed by so many people, in particular our four children and six grandchildren. Cancer Research UK supports research into all aspects of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses. Leukaemia
Five-year survival rates for leukaemia have more than tripled in the last 40 years. But despite this progress, around 4,600 people still lose their lives to the disease every year. Almost a third of all cancers diagnosed in children are leukaemia. Your donation can help Cancer Research UK find better treatments and new ways to prevent the disease in adults and children.
