If you won't be earning a degree or certificate at FRCC and are not planning to use military education benefits, then you don’t need to transfer in credit!

Instead, complete the Streamlined Admission Process created for you.


Please Note: If you are not certain if you plan to graduate from FRCC, or what your major will be, meet with your Academic Advisor before completing this form. 


Important: Have you already completed self-guided placement in order to record Placement/Prerequisite Exemptions you completed elsewhere—for Registration purposes

  • Prerequisite Exemptions are not part of the transfer credit evaluation process. 
  • Self-guided placement is required of all students to help determine if you need to take an academic assessment (Placement test) and ensure placement in the right classes.
  • If you received the “Prerequisite or Test Score Error” when registering for classes, it means you still need to complete self-guided placement and/or take the placement test.

Transfer Credit Evaluation Request


Transfer Credit is intended to help you complete your FRCC degree/certificate program as quickly as possible.  Please proceed if:

  1. You know which degree/certificate you plan to earn from FRCC and would like to apply transfer credit from other institutions to your FRCC certificate or degree requirements.  You will need to list this program further on in this form.
  2. You plan to use military education benefits—a Transcript Evaluation is required by the Veterans Administration as a condition of receiving benefits.

  • In addition to submitting this form: You will need to order individual, official transcripts from each institution whose credit you would like considered for transfer.
    • Each transcript must be sent directly to FRCC from the institution at which the credit was earned. 
    • Transcripts that are issued to the student, hand-carried, or faxed cannot be accepted.
    • Official Transcripts can be electronically sent to TransferCredit@frontrange.edu or mailed to the FRCC campus you want to attend:  Find campuses.

What you need to know when requesting a Transfer Credit Evaluation:



  • You will need to have applied for admission to FRCC and have an FRCC Student Identification Number (S-number).


  • Only courses which apply to requirements of your FRCC degree or certificate will be transferred.


  • Credit can only be transferred from colleges and universities that are Regionally Accredited.


  • At least 25% of your degree or certificate requirements must be taken at FRCC.


  • Results of your evaluation will appear on your FRCC transcript within 30 days of receipt of ALL transcripts you list in this form. You will be notified through your college-issued email once your evaluation has been completed.

  • You are responsible for requesting your previous transcripts to be sent directly to FRCC for this process. 
  • Be sure to request a separate, individual transcript from each different institution where the credit was originally earned.
