GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's 2020 spring graduation will be held in a "drive-through" format.
The university postponed its spring graduation because of the coronavirus pandemic. Leaders hoped to be able to host an in-person event in the fall, but scrapped those plans amid the recent rise in coronavirus cases.
The alternate event is set for Aug. 22. Seniors will be presented with a "Graduation Care Package," and will have the chance to have a professional picture taken with Chancellor Michael Alexander. Graduates and families will then be taken on a route for the chance to have photos taken at campus landmarks.
Diplomas were mailed to graduates in the summer.
