Basic steps:

1) who you are
2) how to introduce the idea and what to ask for
3) what info we need in return
4) once we have that, we can review these with Mr Licciardi and if he agrees, then we get back to you to lock it in

* Im a parent volunteer for Edward Murrow High School, a public school in Brooklyn
* Murrow is one of the largest and most diverse schools in NYC, 4,000 kids, and a great music program
* That is what Im reaching out to you, we want to see if you would be willing to connect with Murrow Music kids
* Basically we want to use NYC as part of our classroom and connect the kids who practice and play with people and opportunities in NYC
* That could mean meeting performing musicians in pit bands, session musicians, recording or performing artists...
* But also means the wider music industry: like talent mgmt, venue mgmt, audio engineers, even streaming music companies
* We are looking for opportunities to connect our kids with people and organizations like you...does that make sense?

What to ask for: what we want:

* We are looking to get our kids face to face with people in the industry
* It could be you - or your colleagues - visit the school for 1-2 hours and hold a clinic or workshop....M-F 9am-2pm
* OR it could be we take a group of kids to your location to see how it works and talk to people a little (field trip)
* A key criteria is that the kids get to ask questions and meet some people (vs just watch, although they like to watch too)
* Again, our goal is to help NYC public school kids who are serious about music to connect with NYC professionals
