Our Class Charter

Why A Charter?

A set of rules is a list of things students shouldn't do. A charter is a list of things that a student should do, to maintain a safe and successful community.

The charter is written by the students to make sure that the guidelines are accepted by all members of the community.

Some Helpful Statistics

Attendance is crucial

It is crucially important that students are in school every day, and are not arriving late. Each minute that students are in school is valuable learning time. When students miss school, not only are they missing out on new topics and concepts, but it makes it more difficult to catch up when they return.

A few minutes, and a few days make a big different.

Kids should be reading at school and at home.

We have all heard the phrase "practice makes perfect." The same goes for reading. The more opportunities a child has to practice their reading skills, the easier it will get, and the more confident your child will feel. Reading is an important part of many skills in school and in life, and it all starts with practice.
