CONTACT-LESS BOOK CHECK-OUT for Fully Virtual Students

Books will continue to be available for pick up everyday in the PLES lobby/vestibule between 9:30 and 3:30. The books will be labeled with your student's name. Please use the Special Media Center Bin to return any books. It will also be in the vestibule every day.

DIRECTIONS FOR BOOK CHECK OUT

Hybrid: Students will check out a book during their scheduled Media class.

Fully Virtual:  Placing Holds on Books

Please follow these directions to place a book on hold from the PLES Media Center:

  1. First, use this link to access our PAC for book check-out: PAC
  2. Next, watch the video below to learn how to activate your account and put a book on hold. You may put up to 1 book on hold at a time.
  3. Please only place holds on books that are available.
  4. Books will be ready for pick up by the end of the 2nd business day after your request if they are available. Look for it in our vestibule. (requested Monday, it will be ready on Wednesday, etc…)
  5. Please check your students’ account summary to see if the book has been checked out to your student. If so, then stop on by the vestibule to pick it up!
  6. If the book is not available for some reason, we will send an email.
  7. Thank you for respecting the 1 book request while we try out this system!
  8. Thank you for your patience!

RETURNING BOOKS

Please continue to return your books as often as possible in the vestibule if you are fully remote, or to the media center when you come to school.

*We do not charge fines for late returning books.

**There is an automatic email reminder sent after two weeks to remind you that you still have the book.

***If the book has been out for over one month, you may receive an automatic email reminder showing the replacement cost in case you have lost the book.

****We will not charge you for the lost book, but if you are able, please consider sending in the replacement cost or a comparable hardcover replacement if you can find a less expensive hardcover copy! Thank you!
