Ennead by Mojito, Vol. 1

Image
Ennead is a Manhwa that retells the story of the Egyptian god. The first volume is basically the intro to the story that will come and provide a backstory to some of the characters. Gods and people prospered when Orisirs led them, but he was killed and overthrown by Seth, the god of war and sand. Isis, Osiris's wife found him, saved his essence, and put him back together. They made a child. Meanwhile, Seth's ruling is cruel and not so good for people. It wasn't until now that the Gods were against it. It all seems wrong somehow like there is some hidden story behind it all that we have yet to uncover. And that what is going on the surface is just the tip of the iceberg. The art is so beautiful, it has a unique style that I just fell in love with. The storyline is very engaging and now I desperately need the rest of them. :) rating  ❤❤❤ ❤ ❤ cover  ❤❤❤ ❤ ❤ art style  ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ Goodreads Amazon number of pages:  296 published: November 21, 2023 happy reading, Anie

If I Loved You Less by Aamna Qureshi

Humaira is wealthy and a little bit spoiled. After finding a love match for her family, she is ready to find one for herself. Headstrong, and sure of what she wants, she looks at everyone, but the one who is right under her nose. The chemistry MCs have is addicting, I couldn't put the book down. :) It's a swoony, slow burn, and full of emotions and sparks... It's a retelling of Jane Austen's Emma, one of my all-time favorite books. and it didn't disappoint. The author took a well-known story and put her spin on it while keeping it true to the original. It's so good! rating  ❤❤❤ ❤ cover  ❤❤❤ ❤ Goodreads Amazon published: August 2,2024 happy reading, Anie

Welcome to Hollyhock Farm by Georgina Troy

Image
Lettie and her brother come back to their parents' farm. After a serious health scare, their parents decide to sell most of the farm, to make it a bit easier and travel more.  The news came as a huge shock to Lettie. She rarely came back, because it was getting harder and harder to get back to her big city life. She worked in fashion in London but just found out that she will probably be let go and on top of that she and her boyfriend broke up.  It seems like a perfect time to switch careers and exchange fast-paced city life for a simple country one. Only, she needs to convince her dad to let her.  With a little help from her uncle, she gets the farm, but only on a trial basis. She must do well if she wants to make a life for herself here.  When she runs into the boy she used to have the biggest crush on, it seems like her summer is just getting more and more complicated.  A love, but predictable small-town love story, of having a fresh start in life and getting a second chance for

A Duke of One's Own by Emma Orchard

Image
Lady Georgina is used to bending the rules of polite society. When a new friend invited her to a different kind of party she was eager to go, but little did she know it was a very different kind of party. She was beyond shocked when she found herself in the middle of a masked party, where participants were skimpily dressed and up to various activities for everyone to see. When a mysterious stranger offers to help, she accepts his help. Later that summer, at another party, she runs into her mysterious stranger again, who is a notorious rake and a Duke. I really like the premise of the story, but I felt it lacked chemistry between the MCs. rating  ❤❤❤ cover  ❤❤❤ Goodreads Amazon number of pages:   304 published: April 22,2024 happy reading, Anie
