Nomination for the Impact Practice Awards is Open Now!
The Impact Practice (CIP) Awards are to recognize, promote, and celebrate impactful intentional practices that center and advance the academic and social success for Latinx students in Colorado higher education. There are four impact areas for the CIP Awards: Student, Faculty, Staff, and Community.

  • Staff Impact Practice Award
  • Awarded in recognition of an individual staff person, staff organization, or staff-lead initiative that advances the academic and social success for Latinx students in Colorado higher education.
  • Faculty Impact Practice Award
  • Awarded in recognition of an individual faculty person, faculty organization, or faculty-lead initiative that advances the academic and social success for Latinx students in Colorado higher education.
  • Student Impact Practice Award
  • Awarded in recognition of an individual student, student organization, or student-lead initiative that advances the academic and social success for Latinx students in Colorado higher education.
  • Community Impact Practice Award
  • Awarded in recognition of an individual community member, community organization, or community-lead initiative that advances the academic and social success for Latinx students in Colorado higher education.

Individual, group, and/or self-nominations are all welcomed. You may submit multiple nominations. Nominees should be either CoCEAL members or affiliated with a CoCEAL members’ respective institution/organization.

Young Invincibles DACA Story Collection
Young Invincibles is a policy and advocacy organization that represents and fights for young adults in Colorado and across the country. One of the Young Invinvibles policy agenda is to address DACA recipients ability to get a professional license in Colorado. Currently, DACA recipients face the insurmountable barrier when receiving licensure. Young Invincibles is advocating for this critical legislative change and looking for or students and alumni who are DACA recipients interested in sharing their stories.
CASFA-Colorado Application for State Financial Aid
The Colorado Department of Higher Education is enabling Colorado students that historically have not qualified for federal aid to complete an application for state financial aid. The Colorado Application for State Financial Aid is a safe method to allow DACA, ASSET and undocumented students to apply for institutional aid. If students have resided in the state for at least three years before graduating from a Colorado high school. This opportunity will allow students to apply for financial aid and help mitigate the financial barriers.
