LOCATING HER IS ONLY HALF THE BATTLE

Cyrus Ryland didn't become England's wealthiest bachelor by being a pushover, but the mysterious beauty he discovers sneaking around at his grand ball enflames his curiosity. Little does he know that not only does Claire Mayhew not want to be found, but she wants nothing to do with him at all...

I thoroughly enjoyed the Lady Meets Her Match, as from the the very first chapter the reader is drawn into the story so that you feel part of it. Claire is fighting for the opportunity to open a coffee shop, not a problem except for the fact that the year is 1768, and it was a era when men still had the mistaken belief that women were unable to to make decisions for themselves. Claire is so determined to be allowed to follow her dream, that she takes advantage of a house party to break into Cyrus' study in order to get her way. She is discovered by Cyrus himself and while she able to hide the main objective for being there, she finds she cannot escape Cyrus. The attraction between the two is immediate and intense. This book is a delight as it is a welcome change to the usual historic romances that focus on relationships in the ton. Cyrus and Claire are ordinary people who have made extraordinary decisions. This story is well written and flows smoothly, leading the reader effortlessly from one scene to the next. I highly recommend this novel. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

About the author

Gina is a lover of history, books and romance, which makes the perfect recipe for historical romance writer. Her passion for castles and old places (the older and moldier the better!) means interesting family vacations. Good thing her husband and two sons share similar passions, except for romance...that's where she gets the eye roll. When not visiting fascinating places, she can be found in southern California delving into the latest adventures of organic gardening and serving as chief taxi driver.
