Uplift Center For Grieving Children

Uplift Center for Grieving Children provides free peer support groups to children ages 5-18 and their caregivers who have experienced the death of someone close to them.  Uplift helps children grieving a death heal and grow through their grief, while strengthening families, communities, and professionals’ understanding of how best to respond to their needs. Children of Incarcerated and Returning Parents Summer Program

Children of Incarcerated and Returning Parents (CHIRP). CHIRP, through a grant from the JAMS Foundation,  offers youth with a parent who is incarcerated or returning from prison an opportunity to deepen their emotional awareness and their ability to manage conflict more effectively. The program gives youth an opportunity to meet and share their experience with others who are in a similar situation.  Through a series of conflict resolution workshops, participants will gain emotional support and skill development while learning productive approaches in managing conflicts. Prescribe Outside, Philadelphia’s nature prescription program, is a partnership between Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Awbury Arboretum, Let’s Go Outdoors, and the US Forest Service. Beds for Kids (BFK)

A part of One House at a Time, the Beds for Kids Programs can provide a new twin bed and bedding to children in need. In order to qualify for BFK, children must be between ages 2 and 20 and reside in a household whose income is at or below 100% of the U.S. Poverty Guidelines. Educating Communities for Parenting

Provides a wide variety of Power to Parent workshops for parents including teen mothers and fathers. The Parent-Child Home Visiting Program

ParentChild+ works with families with children between 16 months and four years old, over a two-year period. A trained community-based Early Learning Specialists visits twice a week for 30 minutes to help parents get their children ready for school. Parents will receive 46 books and toys over two cycles of the Program. All visits are currently conducted virtually due to COVID.
