This series just keeps getting better and better!

Starlight was an amazing read and one that I could not put down. It is the story of Isobel Stone and Will Hamilton.

Isobel is currently a member of the Order of Orion and her power is that she can resurrect and heal people and she can also make people ill. She wants to get her and best friend Paige out before the Order starts enforcing new training to make them more powerful.

Will is an ex-Order of Orion member who has the power of survival, he can't die. He moved to Alaska to get away from people. He prefers to be on his own and hates that Lucas has called on him to help two Order of Orion members to hide. Never in a million years did he think that he would start to like the blue haired Isobel.

They start off nearly hating one another and through their journey they end up coming together in a beautiful relationship. They bring out the best (and sometimes the worst) in one another and Isobel helps Will fight some of his worst inner demons.

Though their pasts can be confronting, Starlight really captures how far they both have come in their lives.

Starlight will have you on the edge of your seat all the way to the end. I loved reading Isobel and Will's story and can't wait to see what happens next in the battle against the Noctem!

I have absolutely loved this series from the get go and have been DYING for book 3. Starlight did NOT disappoint, I devoured this book. Samantha Jane’s Order of Orion series is so wonderfully unique, I love that each book goes deeper and deeper into the Starborn world and has the perfect blend of paranormal, romance and action.

Now for Isobel and Will - ugh, these two. Both completely stubborn, both in serious need of some love and forgiveness. The roller coaster of tension and chemistry between them gripped me from their first, cranky, encounter. The added intensity of Noctem and it’s new head of operations had the pages flying. I can not recommend this series highly enough.

Loved this author

I really like this whole series. It has an air of originality which I think is hard these days in paranormal. The characters have some incredible gifts and learning to use them a struggle especially for our male lead. Great tension and action and a good plot.

What a fabulous way to start the reading year!

This is the third book in The Order of Orion series and it is the perfect blend of world build/sci-fi and romance. In this series, the starborn all have different powers (coming from one of five categories) and while each book has a set beginning and HAE ending for "the couple", the overarching world storyline of The Order vs Noctem is ongoing.

While I really enjoyed this book, my five stars is totally dedicated to:

1) The first few chapters. I love Will as a character - he is the perfect broody male alpha character.
The portrayal of PTSD is spot on and you can see the author bringing in her expertise here), and

2) The last 20% that totally blew me away. My gosh, the author can write suspense and adventure and really bad guys that have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

The middle part of the book developed the relationship between Will and Issy, but as they were in hiding and laying low it was slower paced (as it should be given the storyline) than the beginning and ending....but hold out for that ending - as it totally took me by surprise. AMAZING!!!!

A really quick read. Will is easily my fave male lead in this series and I can't wait for book 4 - PLEASE BE ROSE (she is my quirky Luna Lovegood character to die for).
