Macy's is living up to its title as the 'holiday gifting destination' in 2021. On Oct. 25, the retailer revealed its plans for Black Friday 2021 and, from what we can see, they don't disappoint.
While Black Friday specials will start in-store and online on Nov. 23 and run until Nov. 27. (with stores closed for Thanksgiving Day on Nov. 25), the deals begin on Nov. 3. This gives shoppers a chance to start their gifting journey early and avoid the stress of stock shortages and shipping delays.
"Macy's is sharing our biggest holiday specials online and in stores throughout the month of November, giving our customers the ability to plan ahead and shop gifts for themselves or someone special, from their favorite brands that have been on their wish list all year long," said Nata Dvir, Macy's chief merchandising officer in the press release.
Macy's Black Friday Early Access sale
As noted above, Macy's Black Friday Early Access sale will launch on Nov. 3. Each week, a new selection of curated deals will be released. Here is a breakdown of the early access deal schedule:
- Nov. 3 to Nov. 7
- Nov. 8 to Nov. 10
- Nov. 11 to Nov. 15
- Nov. 16 to Nov. 22
- Nov. 23 to Nov. 27 (Black Friday)
This year's sales are set to include the 'biggest deals from the best brands.' A few notable specials that are going to pop up during those early access deal days are:
- $4.99 Men's Levi's® tees
- 60% off select toys
- $59.95 Instant Pot DuoPlus 6-qt.
- $199.99 Shark canister vacuum
- $2.99 Nerf Alpha Strike or LOL Surprise mini dolls

Macy's Black Friday plans
Macy's Black Friday deals can be found online, in-store and on the Macy's app from Nov. 23 to Nov. 27. Macy's stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, with curbside pick-up available at select stores. On Black Friday, Macy's stores will open early at 6 a.m. local time and close late at 11:59 p.m. local time.
The store hours are as follows:
- Tuesday, Nov. 23: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 24: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 25 – Closed
- Friday, Nov. 26: 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 27: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Macy's shipping, pick-up and payment options
There are several ways to ensure your Macy's purchases get into your hands right away this holiday shopping season. Pick-up options include:
- Contactless curbside pick-up
- Buy online-pick up in-store
- Buy online, ship to store
- Same-day delivery (on select items) through Drive, DoorDash's white-label platform
