Bitch ... Ice Queen ... Frigid.

Macey Prince is no stranger to a nickname or two. The words once hurt, now they’re her armor. Being a Prince might be a life sentence she can never escape but Macey isn’t willing for her heart to be collateral again.

Then in a rare moment of weakness Macey lets someone in. Without realizing, she gives a piece of herself to him and it’s not long until he wants more. To uncover the girl behind cruel words and icy stares.

She should hate him.

She does hate him.

Wow! I loved Macey's book.
Seeing the ice queen finally thaw is something to behold.

Such an addictive series and I'm sure it's getting hotter or was it just the intense and sizzling chemistry between these two characters? Brilliant!.

I have been eager to read Macey's story, she's closed off, has the tongue like a whip and has walls so high no one can get to her heart not even her brother Mav anymore, well, until a one night stand happens then gradually Macey Prince's icey exterior finally begins to melt.

I was hooked from start to finish, I loved the angst, the suspense and the brilliant writing by L.A Cotton who had me intrigued as to who Macey's mystery guy was from the very beginning and once I knew I couldn't turn the pages quick enough to see how this would all unfold once the secret was out.

Wicked Bay is a brilliant series, teenage love, lies, secrets, angst drama there's never a dull moment with these characters and each book features a new couple.

Recommended YA/NA crossover series.

This has to be my favourite book to date!

"But his eyes glittered in the abyss, calling to the black parts of my soul."

First of all: Stories about Wicked Bay never fail to elate me! Even though I'm a giant fan of Lo and Maverick, not every book has to be about them. Because all other characters have so much charm and potential, it's important that they can tell us their story as well. Wicked Needs just proved that.

"Because that's all we were. Bad decisions and reckless touches. It was all we could ever be."

I love that it takes some time until the name of the mystery boy gets revealed. And I was as surprised as I was happy to get my suspicions confirmed. Yes, it's a little weird combination but it works perfectly. The author used her amazing talent to spin this kind of forbidden love story perfectly and exposes the souls of Macy and her mystery boy to us readers.

"We were a disaster waiting to happen. A modern-day Romeo and Juliet. The rich girl with the wron name and the boy from the wrong side of town."

In the other books Macy was mostly the "bad girl", closed off behind her secure walls, not showing any emotion except being angry and lashing out to everyone. In Wicked Needs she finally gets the attention she needs, not only from us readers but also from the boy she unexpectedly falls in love with. It helps Macy to find her place in the world, to open up the the people who love her and her wounded soul starts to heal.

"Macy was my guitar in a lot of ways. She needed handling with care and attention."

Wicked Needs is a great standalone romance about a girl and a boy who couldn't be more different from the outside, but are so similar on their inside and with their needs, who never expected to fall for each other. Their journey is stony and shaped by ups and downs that will take you on an emotional roller-coaster.

It's always a pleasure to be back at Wicked Bay following those characters I fell in love with. Hopefully this series will get some more stories to explore.

"This was him chasing his dream. And as his fingers strummed the first note, I fell in love with him all over again."

Full Of Emotion, Heart & Fear. 4 Stars 🌟

Macey Isn't A B*tch!!😱😉😂
That's the only spoiler you're getting out of me!! 😂 Well, she still kind of is a b*tch ~ but isn't?!?😳 You'll understand once you've read it and you MUST read it!!!😳🙏💔😟

This book was full of suprises, good and bad for the characters, which means all good for us voracious readers!👍 Macey accidentally allows her Ice Queen heart to start to thaw for the completely wrong person. She knows it will set her world on fire but she's sick of doing the right for her family when they just seen to do what ever they want regardless of her!!😱😢💥

Trust is an extremely hard thing for this couple. Yet they're so right for one another it's almost ridiculous 😍 They can barely keep their eyes off of each other let alone their hands!🔥🔥 But fear keeps them both in the shadows, family & friends may not understand and Macey, especially, can't face the possible backlash!!😢😭

Before the end - relationships will fracture, family's will fight and friendships will faulter. Can the young lovers make it work despite all of their own issues and those from the outside pressures??😳

'Wicked Needs' brings us back into the wonderful world of Wicked Bay. We get to see all of our favourite characters from the past books, even the down right awful ones!!😡 Ggrrr I thought the story came to a conclusion a bit to quickly. I was so invested I would've liked to have seen the renewal of their relationship!! I felt surprisingly sympathetic towards Macey and her Partner 💕 They're both much nicer, sweeter & thoughtful than we ever knew!! I think this book is a fantastic addition to the series!!✨🎉🌟

Macey Prince has been an enigma in this series to date and I couldn't wait to find out what was going on with her. Lianne didn't disappoint. My jaw fell open when her secret love was revealed and I was disgusted at first because this guy has not endeared himself to me during the series to date, and I so wasn't expecting it to be him, but I quickly changed my opinion of him and realized I had him pegged all wrong.

I felt Macey's pain even if I wanted to slap her around the place for her stupidity at times.

I was so glad everything worked out for them in the end as they both deserved it. Loved seeing our other two couples, especially Rick and Lo, and it was great to see such strong character development with Rick in particular. The way he responded made me all warm and fuzzy inside. (It also made me wish there were more books coming for my favorite couple but that's just me being greedy.)

This one ticked all the boxes for me and made my angst-loving heart very happy.

Highly recommended.

I love this series and it was time to see why Macey was so closed off and who was the mystery guy was. Macey had so many walls up and was withdrawing from everyone - I won't lie, she was so frustrating! If only she would not keep it all bottled up, if only she would open up to those who cared about here, but then she wouldn't be Macey. It took the mystery guy to melt the ice get her to open up and actually become the person she should be. Then something happens and she retreats!! Cue more yelling at the Kindle. Eventually we get our HEA.

Love all the characters in this series and good to catch up with Kyle, Maverick and Lo. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

Welcome back to the angst ridden world of Wicked Bay . . . where the Stone - Prince siblings rule the school and everyone knows the latest gossip almost as soon as it happens.

Macey Prince may seem like the school’s Ice Queen and cheerleading princess, in complete control of her social status ruling over the high school hierarchy, but, what she really wants is to escape. All she wants is to know that people like her, not because of who she is related to or what she can do for their social standing, but because they genuinely like her. She’s tired of the armor she constantly wears and just wants to be herself.

When she finally lets someone in, however, she knows it’s a bad idea from the very start. He’s so off limits to her that she may as well consider him forbidden. She knows her brother’s will never accept him, yet no matter how many times she tries to walk away, she can’t.

But, Macey has finally found a person that sees her . . . not what she represents. He digs past her ice queen routine and attitude to see the lonely, hurt and confused girl that lurks beneath. And, while he knows being with her can cause him nothing but problems, he can’t quit her either.

But, when in Wicked Bay, secrets never stay hidden for long. What happens when Macey and her secret guy are outed to her family and the rest of Wicked Bay high?

I feel like I had grabby hands waiting for Macey’s story so I could finally find out who her secret crush was . . . and L.A. Cotton did not disappoint! From the very beginning of this series, Macey Prince has always come off as emotionally closed off and worried only about her status and when the next party was taking place. But, in this book, we finally get to know Macey and why she acts the way she does . . . and it was glorious! Honestly, I think she carries more angst than any of the Stone Prince siblings, which is saying a lot!

I absolutely adored getting that look into Macey’s mind and watching her fall for someone rather than simply play the Wicked Bay game. And, mystery guy, is just about as mixed up emotionally as she is carrying tons of his own baggage. This couple shouldn’t work in any way, shape, or form, but the just do.

Fans will also love catching up with Kyle, Maverick and Lo as well as seeing their reactions to Macey’s shocking relationship!

Wicked Needs was a super emotional and angsty read and I loved every minute of it! 5 stars.

They probably heard me scream excitedly in space when this book arrived on my kindle I love everything about this series.

I'm going to be upfront Lo is my girl I have her back against everyone especially Ice Princess Macey. To say I had a negative view of her would be an understatement however I wanted to know more about her. Prepare to be surprised because now I get it now I get where her anger and jealousy stemmed from. I ended up loving this complicated vulnerable lovable young woman. What she needed was someone to see beyond the snarky looks and comments and see her and boy oh boy does her man see her, he is absolutely perfect for her and that's all I'll say about him. I didn't think that I would get at Macey's book but i did several times.

As with the previous books the story and writing are sublime another perfect addition to the series.

I waited and waited and waited for this one. As soon as the ARC landed on my Kindle I devoured it. I've been wanting inside Macey's head since the very first book when I met the ice queen. It was refreshing to see that beneath all the ice, she really was a real person with real fears, hurts, and afflictions. Someone I could relate to and root for.
Plus, there was the whole mystery guy thing. Not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting THAT guy. Haha. But it was such a beautiful story of her coming to terms with not just her past, but who she wanted to be as a person and how she got there. I won't spoil it for anyone, but this book was everything I wanted and more. LA Cotton is an amazing writer and she delivers every single time.

I’ve been waiting for this book to come out since I finished the last one so when the Advanced Reader’s Copy downloaded to my Kindle app, I dove right in. I couldn’t put it down. I read it in one day! In this book we see the inner workings of Macey’s head. What makes her tick, what makes her push everyone away, and makes her have all those walls built up to make her into the ice queen she is. But we also get to see that Macey is a real teenager girl with dreams, hurts, and fears. Maverick, Lo, and Kyle of course make appreance. But the best part of Macey’s book is seeing she has a soft side and seeing it directed at her mystery guy! You will never guess who!

*Received an advanced copy for review. All thoughts expressed are my honest opinion*

As a fan of L.A. Cotton’s Wicked Bay Series I was so excited for this 5th installment! Also the fact that it was about Macey and a Mystery Man was an interesting concept and it was definitely not who I thought it would be that ended up being Macey’s love interest but I enjoyed the surprise factor.

Macey Prince is known as the Ice Queen. She does everything she can to protect herself and her heart but also her family. I loved seeing a new side to her and getting to know the character better. I also loved the couple interactions she has with Summer and Kiera and I hope to see even more of them in future books.

I also loved the fact that Mystery Man calls Macey “Princess” not in a condescending way but in a loving way and treats her with real love and respect. I personally considered this to be a very healthy relationship portrayal. It isn’t sunshine and roses all the time but the way they are shown talking about different aspects with no judgement but also cute little moments is something that sadly isn’t showed often in Young Adult or New Adult genre stories and I applaud L.A. Cotton for her relationship portrayals and how no one relationship she writes about is exactly the same.

Thankful to have received an early review copy and can’t wait for the release date on 10/24! Also looking forward to book 6 of this companion novel series!

I love this world....

Macey Prince is not a sweet, biddable heroine..she is tough, forthright and at times cruel: in short she is an ice queen... but the fifth book in this addictive series begins to unpick the layers of this complex character and underneath the hard exterior there just maybe a smidgeon of vulnerability waiting to be revealed..

I love this world and these characters ; they are so well developed and fascinating.. they are relatable and believable, not all good but by no means not all bad and amongst the drama and angst their interactions are full of humour and their loyalties, at times misplaced, somehow make them more worthy than perhaps they ought to do..

The author has such an easy to read style and her use of language creates wonderful images; an imaginary world, which, with all its emotional intelligence, feels utterly real.

This was another absorbing read that touched me more than I thought it would, given the female lead, and the mystery significant other; it left me once again desperate for more of this captivating series... I received an advanced copy of this book from the author

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. ***

Finally!!!! I have been waiting for Macey's book! Macey Prince has been a mystery since book 1 in the Wicked Bay series. I cannot believe HE is the secret guy! Totally did not expect that!

I hated him from the other books and for it to be him?! I was not sure in the beginning, but then you see who he really is and get to see his side of the story. I actually feel for him knowing everything that happened.

LA Cotton always keeps me looped into her books and this series might just be my favorite series from her. If you haven't started this series or picked up this book, I highly recommend you do so now!

I was sitting on pins and needles waiting for this release and when the opportunity came to be part of the ARC I screamed and jumped on it. I scared my husband, he thought something was wrong with me! I’ve been waiting to learn more about Macey and find out her story. She was always stand offish and cold in all the other books but I always wanted to know the reason behind the “ice queen”. This story gives into her story and makes us see who she is and the inside story that everything isn’t always what it seems. Also her mystery guy, OMG it throws you a loop!! So not who or what you expect, but he is what she needs to break her heart of ice.

I thought Macey was an ice queen in the previous books. After getting to know Macey in her story I can see how she became so distance and cold towards everyone. It was a surprise who the mystery man was , I had no idea who It was going to be before I picked up the book.I am so glad that Macey was able to unthaw her personality and let love it .

I was wrong. So very, very wrong!!!

I was certain I knew who the mystery man was. But that would be a big fat face calming belly flop of a not at all! Not only did I get Macey's leading man wrong but wow! Her frigid ice queen role never made me think about its origins until now. That was an arctic blast to my own heart.

Complicated and untrusting, Macey Prince has no desire to let anyone in...especially him. She's mad at the world and she has no need or time for fools. My heart hurts doubly for these two- once I got over my shock. It's not smooth sailing but then what Prince has it easy?!?

Wicked Needs answers some questions you never knew you had. It also has a brilliant segue into the next book, Wicked Hearts.

#5 in the Wicked Bay series did not disappoint!! I've loved every book in this series and this one was no different ! I love this author's writing style, the characters, well just about everything about it !
Returning to Wicked Bay and this time the Ice Princess's story, Queen Bitch... but is she actually? She may be at times, but in reality she has a vulnerable side and has her reasons for those walls she's built around her heart. I loved seeing these walls crumble a little bit at a time. It was hard for Macey to let anyone in.. with Maverick as her brother she never knew who to trust as so many had tried to play her to their advantage in the past.
Mystery man... not totally unexpected, but wasn't my first suspect.. loved him, realised that although he'd had his not so honourable moments, underneath it all he was in all faith being played too. His heart really is in the right place when it comes to Macey, but it's not going to be an easy ride for him or them!
I love that he is so sweet with her, that they can't keep their hands off each other.
As with any good story there's some angst along the way.. some 'will they, won't they?' and some moments where I wanted to shout at one or the other of them through my kindle!!
Loved catching up with the rest of the gang from Wicked Bay too.. I think I love Lo a little bit more each time! And Kyle.. we again see his wit and charm :) Although this seems a dysfunctional family on the surface underneath it all they really are there for each other. And Maverick... well who'd have seen him behave so reasonably.. lol !
I seriously now need more from this group of characters and can't wait for the next book.

I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Wow I never expected who Macey fella was but wow it was perfect!

I loved them together and I loved that you got all the answers and she stood up to the family instead of letting them getting away with stuff that I felt like Lo story did.

I felt like it answered all my questions and I love a book like this. As always I love Kyle and Maverick is amazing too.

I thought I would hate Macey but I end up loving her and I did from early on in the book. I love that she made the mistake and realised it and they both fixed it! I love her guy and glad he got a happy ending he deserved it and so did she!

Must read book!

This is the story where we get to know Maverick Prince’s sister Macey. She seems to say one thing but wants something else. She seems to be holding in a lot of anger, which you can almost feel coming off the page. It was not hard to feel sorry or sad for her.

Devon Lions has a history with Rick’s girlfriend Lo Stone. If you’ve not read their story yet, this may give you the incentive to check out what you’ve missed. Devon is trying to learn from past mistakes. This was where I really had to feel sorry for both our main characters.

Macey seems like a train wreck waiting to happen. Instead of asking for help she tries to deal with it on her own and you’ll see how well that’s working out for her. You can tell she’s screaming on the inside and with this story being told in the first person; I can hear her loud and clear.

Devon has his own issues. He’s making life choices based on what someone else wants. And what he wants seems so far out of his reach. He seems like an addiction to Macey – she can’t seem to stay away. He’s got just what she needs. But how is going to help her with the secrets she seems to be carrying. One good thing is that she seems to be able to open up to him.

Just like other books in this series, the main characters seem older than what they say they are. I think of them being in college rather than getting ready to graduate from high school. This is most evident with a few of the incidents that occur. If you’re a parent that reads the book before deciding if a YA is appropriate for your child, be aware that there is underage drinking going on. For me, it seems as if the parents are oblivious to what their children are doing. You will also want to remind them that this is a work of fiction. We also have teenagers making adult decisions. My happiness came in knowing that this author isn’t done with this series yet. Bad news came when I see I have to wait until next spring – it’s going to be a long winter.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I know this says that Wicked Needs can be read as a standalone. But I literally binge read the previous four books and even though I agree it could be why would you want to miss out on four amazing books that not only give you more insight to why Macey is such a closed off, well, bitch then read them first please. While others probably have spoiled it by saying who Macey ends up with, I will not. Trust me you will not want it to be spoiled and I promise to not spoil it for you. Wicked Needs is emotional, angst filled, at times funny, sexy and overall I believe that the telling of Macey story was done perfectly.

If you have read the previous books then you know that Macey is really cold and closed off, but underneath that ice queen exterior you know there is more to who she is and you find all of that out in Wicked Needs. I cried for her more than once to be honest because the more that her walls are chipped away at, you see who Macey really is and how much she would do for those she loves and to protect them and herself. The person she ends up with, and I will say I wasn’t expecting it to be him, balanced Macey perfectly and I fell in love with his character as well. The emotional rollercoaster these two go one is a ride I would take all over again because I LOVED this book, hell this entire series if I am to be honest.

L.A. Cotton was a new to me author, but not anymore. When I stated I binge read the first four books, I did so in about a three and a half day period. I couldn’t and wouldn’t put them down and that same enthusiasm transferred to Wicked Needs as well. Wicked Needs is one of the best YA/NA romances I have read this year, and believe me I have read a bunch of them. I can’t wait for the next book and am already wanting to ask when will it be out because I am that excited about it. Like I stated before check out Wicked Needs as well as the previous books, I think you will be as hooked on them as I am.

Macey feels that darkness is in her soul and she’s made wrong choices, she knows no one would like the fact that she’s still seeing her drunken mistake behind everyone’s back.
He’d never looked at Macey, until he woke up naked with her, and now she’s all he sees, when they met, they never spoke, but he knew when her walls came down, her rules had been enough, but when she says she hates him, he knows it’s really something else that she won’t admit.
He made her feel good, but she remembered who they were, what had happened, and she wasn’t the only one who would get hurt. She still wondered if he still was hung up on the girl, the reason nothing could happen between them, but she couldn’t help it, he’s touch was magic, she needed it.
Everything changes when Macey calls saying she needs him, it’s what he’s always wanted her to say but he wants to know she’s sure, Macey realises that he put her needs first, no one ever has done that for her, tired of running from him Macey decides she wants to get caught.
The more he learns about Macey, the more he realises that she’s done everything to protect her brother and people used her to get to him, but, the more she lets him in the more he knows whether she wants to admit it or not her heart is thawing to him.
Nothing stays a secret in Wicked Bay and everything comes crashing down, Macey does what she normally does she pushes him away hurting him.
Going to an engagement party with her friend, talking to her ‘date’, Vinnie, about what happened, he see them as the couple who has to fight through the messy to get to the good stuff, when Macey suggests they should accept that maybe it isn’t worth it, he questions her, suddenly she realises that she’s miserable, she missed him, she felt incomplete, then she realises that Vinnie is right she’s made a huge mistake, but is it to late to fix it.

Macey Prince, the beautiful, cold, untouchable, sometimes terrifying sister to Maverick Prince. Life as a Prince comes with benefits, but for a heavy price. It was okay when it was Mav and Macey but now Maverick has Lo, he's forgiven their mother, he's happy. Now Macey is alone, trapped in her loneliness and anger. Then after one drunken night, she wakes up beside a warm body; the last person she should be waking up next too. Totally a mistake, that happens again and again, until she realizes that she needs this person. She somehow let him slip past her walls. But this can't happen, it's a disaster waiting to happen. If anyone finds out, it will blow up in her face. But he makes her feel safe, wanted, loved...

The Wicked series is a drama-filled, angsty series about the Prince-Stone family; teenage love, family secrets, and lies, lies, lies, yet underneath there's an unbreakable bond. There's never a dull moment with this family. Wicked Needs is the book I have been waiting for. Second, only to Mav, Macey's the character that intrigued me the most. She did not disappoint! Macey's walls are high and thick, her defense go-to of iciness is lethal, her drinking out-of-control, and her meanness all make her seem like she would be impossible to like. Instead, I love her. I feel her pain and fear. Every person who should have loved and protected her as has let her down, she's had more people try to use her than have genuinely wanted to know her. Of course, she's prickly! Now that she has a chance at happiness, her fear and her past history are going to make it darn near impossible to allow herself to trust and accept that happiness. It's going to take a pretty special guy. I never saw him coming but I'm glad he did. This Princess deserves her HEA!

Wow. Just wow. I am in tears. I need to pull up my big girl panties and give myself a slap. Stop crying already. I’m not crying, you’re crying!!

I’ve loved the Wicked Bay books since the first and I will love it to the last. When I first read Lianne’s Chastity Falls books, I was sure nothing could top them but then along came Maverick and Lo *swoon*
The two series were on level pegging, until this book. It’s tipped me over the edge. Wicked Bay is my ultimate favourite place to hang out now.

This book is everything. It’s sweet, it’s bitter. It’s happy, it’s sad. It’s highs and it’s lows.
I hated Macey until now. She’s a bitter, uptight, ice queen. But now? Now I know her story and I know what makes her tick.

I’ll be honest, I really didn’t want [___] to be who she was dating. I was dead against it and him in general. To my mind, he was an a-hole and totally irredeemable. My impression of him has never changed since day one. But now...now it’s different. He’s different. He isn’t who I thought he was. So I’ve jumped sides of the fence on Macey and now on [___] too. That was not what I was expecting in a million years.

This book was a roller coaster of emotions. There were certain expectations and yet things got twisted, so my point of view got twisted too.
There’s the typical Wicked Bay drama. The fact that Caitlin is as she always has been, a total...rhymes with witch.
I loved the main characters and their story. But it wasn’t just about them. Lianne writes secondary characters that are almost just as important.
As an author, I admire her. She writes brilliant stories that suck you in from the first word. She makes you feel allll the feels.

If I am asked for book recommendations, I always say LA Cotton. I always say Wicked Bay. I cannot wait for the next book in this series and I’ll say it now, I want a book about Keira. She has a story to tell and I want to know it. I don’t know if Lianne is writing that, or if it’s the next book maybe, but I’d love it to happen.

Another 5 star read from LA Cotton.

I've been patiently waiting to read Macey's story since the first Wicked Bay book came out. She's been a b***h from the very beginning. I wanted to get to know her and understand her. We not only get that in this book but we also find out why she's okay being labeled a "cold-hearted b***h." We also get to meet the real Macey Prince who is buried so deep that you would need a shovel to dig her out. I love her and I didn't think that I really would. She's a scared, lost little girl who doesn't think she'll ever find someone who loves her for herself, not because she's a Prince or Maverick Prince's sister. We also get to meet her hero. I knew we were in for a surprise when we found out who he was but I didn't expect to be as surprised as I really was. I'm shocked but also thrilled. He was good for her. She needed him and he needed her. I cried for Macey so many times; from the secrets she shared to what almost happened to her, to her dealings with Catlin. I wanted to reach through the pages and hurt the people who didn't see any shame in hurting her. If I'm being honest (after reading all of this series so far and having to read about stupid Catlin) I kind of wish more had happened to put Catlin in her place. But since the series isn't over I'm hoping we'll eventually get that. Love this series and loved getting to know (and understand) Macey and her "boyfriend." *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

This is the first book I have read in the Wicked Bay Series and the first book by LA Cotton. I have never come across this author becore but reading the blurb for this book intrigued me and pulled me in. I had to immediately request an ARC for it.

Macey (heroine) is a girl that is misunderstood. Just because she shuts people out and keeps to herself, she is labeled as a cold-hearted bitch. I totally disagree with that. She is a girl who has been taken advantage of because her brother is a big shot and her family is established. People used her and discarded her to get closer to her brother or get revenge on him. She protected him in her own way and he never knew.

She begins a forbidden romance (starts off as just sex) with her brother's enemy, Devon (hero). She lies to herself and to him that it is just meaningless sex between them but she feels more and so does he so she constantly pushes him away. She doesn't want to get hurt again so she freezes her heart and locks it up behind thick armor but Devon slowly chips through it because he realizes that Macey isn't a girl he can let go of. He wants her. She is his. She eventually gives into him and they begin their secret romance but they have some bumps in the road.

I enjoyed this book and I will definitely be reading more of LA Cotton's books.

It’s Macey’s book and I was pleasantry surprised by her.

She is a lot more than meets the eye, what we thought was arrogance and overall bitchy behavior was in reality a defense mechanism.

Being part of the golden family is not so great, growing up everyone wanted a piece of her, and that has taken its toll on her.

She learned how to be strong and not need anyone, because there was nobody she could depend on, except for Maverick, he was her person.
When Lo changes the dynamic in their relationship she turns colder than before and things start to get out of control.

He is the one that saves her; he reaches into her hell and takes her hand. She has never felt this way before and that scares her to death.
Taking a chance on him could be the scariest and best decision she has ever made.

He is certain there’s something wrong with him that keeps attracting him to trouble, but there’s just something s special about Macey that he can’t let go, even if it kills him.

Winning her love will mean battling her demons and he is not sure he is strong enough to win.

How do you trust again after the people that where supposed to love you betrayed you and everyone around you wants something from you?

Finally we get the infamous Ice Queen herself, forever in the background of the Wicked Bay Stories I was always keen to learn more!

So the suspense is killing me as I’m sure your the same but finally I turned that long awaited page and got the name and boy was I surprised as it was totally the opposite of whom I was thinking but in no way did that take away from the drama. That I was so sure would ensue when it all came out and boy did a Lianne deliver on that! I don’t want to give spoilers but whatever your thinking it’s 10 times better.

I really enjoyed getting inside what made Macey tick and at times I felt sorry for her as she did feel so let down and alone especially since the fall out with her dad and Magerick, which explained the Ice Queen persona she gave out.Nobody should feel that way but I’m glad it pushed her to find her happiness even if she did have to win a small war to get there!

Another epic tale from the Wicked Bay characters but as usually I’m left wanting more , these guys are a firm favourite on my Kindle that I can’t help but keep going back to read again and again.

Another 5 stars for this delicious series.

Macey... Macey... Macey oh where to begin.

In the other books we're lucky if we see glimpses of Macey's softer side. Everyone knows she's hiding one, but never shows it outwardly. I'd be lying if i said i wasn't truly intrigued by her character and excited to see how Cotton was going to paint Macey so that it not only explained her previous behaviour, but also endeared her to me as a reader.

Well Cotton did it. Amazingly.

Ugh, Macey. I wanted to cuddle her, tell her life was going to be okay and give her strength. Now i can't say much about the story and i wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone anyway, but what i will say is that I was surprisingly pleased by her love interest. The thing that made me love him the most was how he was her strength. He recognised that she wasn't the strong, ice queen that she portrayed. He saw inside her and held up up when she needed it. He told some home truths to family members when she couldn't and he loves her for who she is and not what everyone else sees.

Perfect!

*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from Social Butterfly PR*

This is about a 4.5 for me. Macey and her mystery guy really kept me guessing for the first four chapters and I thought it was a great way to start the novel. Macey's always been very angry and secluded but when you read her POV, it's a totally different perspective. There were times when I lost my patience with her and all the negativity she harbored but I think it's just because it hit a little too close to home, so I'd find relief in a change of POV or if she thankfully decided to concentrate on something else. I think I can safely say that I am too old for the drama lol I love it and I usually gobble it up but for this one, it was almost too much, and since I've read all the other installments in the series, I'm beginning to see a pattern. The writing was pretty good and I loved what Cotton concentrated on when it came to family problems and self love.

It's a recommend for mature young adults and those who love drama.

Macey appears to have it all beauty, wealth and popular but underneath what she really wants is for people to like her for who she is not her last name or what she can do for them. After a few drinks too many she wakes up next to the last person she ever expected or wanted to be with and it was all just a big mistake or was it?

In their heads they know that they should not be together as it will cause nothing but trouble for both of them however their hearts aren’t listening. Macey can’t stay away as he sees the real her underneath the bravado she presents and all he wants to do is be there for her. Secrets have a way of being revealed at the worst time and when they are will they be able to survive the storm that erupts when they are?

It was great to get to know the real Macey and her guy is the last person you expected but they are perfect together. This author has a way of combining the right amount of emotion and angst into a compelling storyline and this is no exception. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
