OVERVIEW:
The purpose of this action is to request a temporary modification of sections of Policy 8020 Grading and Reporting: Middle and High School to remove mid-term and final assessment requirements (Section IV.A.5-6) and Policy 9070 Academic Eligibility for High School Extracurricular Activities (Section IV.B-D) to remove eligibility requirements. These modifications allow HCPSS to institute further changes consistent with the HCPSS Reopening Plan for SY20-21. These changes will terminate at the end of the school year.

Replacement language for both policies is attached.

RECOMMENDATION/FUTURE DIRECTION:
It is recommended that until June 30, 2021, the Board approve changes to Policy 8020 Grading and Reporting: Middle and High School and Policy 9070 Academic Eligibility for High School Extracurricular Activities, effective immediately.
