All employees of North Range Behavioral Health and their immediate family members may use these services. This program can help employees 24/7 with confidential support, guidance, and resources. Types of assistance include counseling services, financial and legal advice, and help with relationships.
Eligible employees (working a minimum of 30 hours per week) will accrue paid time off hours each month. Hours are based on full, or part time status and the rate of accrual increases with longevity with the company.
All employees have the option of enrolling in North Range Behavioral Health’s Retirement Plan, a 403(B) tax sheltered annuity program. Immediate contributions can be made on a pre-tax basis through voluntary payroll reduction. After 90 days, eligible employees will automatically receive a North Range Behavioral Health contribution, at the agency’s discretion.

North Range Behavioral Health’s compensation program is based on highly valued principles. Employee compensation is internally equitable, externally competitive, recognizes and rewards employees based on individual performance and achievement.

In order to meet the diverse needs of our customers, North Range Behavioral Health provides additional compensation to those employees with bilingual skills. Factors such as degree, licensure, and experience determine where a new applicant is placed on our pay scale.

Employees of North Range Behavioral Health may be eligible to receive an increase in pay at the discretion of North Range Behavioral Health. Factors which affect pay increases may, but will not necessarily, include business and financial needs and conditions, local cost-of-living changes, labor market conditions, and individual employee job performance and conduct, employee education, and professional achievements.

Part-time employees not eligible for PTO can accrue and utilize sick leave time to cover absences related to illness.
North Range Behavioral Health currently makes a flexible spending account available for those employees enrolled in available employer provided health plans (except HDHP). Qualified individuals are able to set aside funds for pre-determined health care and/or dependent care expenses. Such funds can be taken on a pre-tax basis through voluntary payroll reduction.

Professional Development

North Range Behavioral Health believes in the professional and personal development of each employee. We invest in each team member through inclusive and culturally sensitive trainings and regular check-ins with supervisors to ensure each employee has the tools they need to succeed in their role. A well-informed, trained staff results in high-quality, innovative services for our community. North Range Behavioral Health strives to help each team member achieve their goals, and promotes career development for all.

At North Range Behavioral Health, we are always learning. As the world around us changes and grows, so does our understanding of behavioral health. Our culturally sensitive training curriculums follow evidence-based practices that encourage our team members to provide inclusive, modern care for mental health and substance use challenges. Constant learning allows North Range to remain a leader in behavioral health care.

Professional training opportunities are available throughout the year and may count towards continuing education credits or certified addiction designation requirements.
North Range Behavioral Health participates in both the Colorado and National Health Service Corps programs. These programs repay the educational loans of eligible licensed and/or certified providers who agree to practice in areas with a health professional shortage for a designated period of time. Weld County is designated as a mental health professional shortage area and we have a large number of approved sites for providers. Please visit the Colorado Health Service Corps and National Health Service Corps websites for more information on eligibility requirements and the application process.

Professional/personal licensing and certification are the responsibility of the employee. The employee is responsible for the cost of obtaining and maintaining certification/license levels, including but not limited to, participating in, and documenting clinical supervision, re-certification fees, continuing education required for certification, upgrade courses, and any expenses related to participation in training.

Although it is the responsibility of the employee to maintain and upgrade certifications and licensure, North Range Behavioral Health supports training opportunities for employees when financially feasible. Such training may assist employees to meet certain continuing education requirements for certification and/or licensure.

North Range Behavioral Health encourages students to learn in the supportive environment of our organization, by receiving mentorship and development from experienced staff. Interns can grow their professional understanding of the behavioral health field through a variety of hands-on experiences, as an extension of their educational training.

Regular check-ins with supervisors allow employees to align their professional work with their personal values and North Range’s values of compassion, collaboration, and customer first. Supervision connects team members with opportunities for learning and growth which results in building engagement and resilience. North Range gives our employees the tools to succeed in making a meaningful impact in Weld County.

For clinical employees, the degree of clinical supervision one receives will be based on his or her certification requirements, training, education, experience, and individual training needs. Whenever appropriate, North Range Behavioral Health qualified personnel will provide supervision to assist employees in meeting the requirements for licensure or certification in areas identified as necessary by North Range Behavioral Health.

IPS helps people bring out the best in themselves. When you’re dealing with unseen disabilities, it is difficult to break the barriers, even with your own self-esteem or self-worth. IPS helps break down those barriers and then continue to build you up by helping with education and finding a job.
