2016 - Competed in every event for the Lions in 2016 ... started the season with a 7th place finish at SBU ... finished 2nd at Missouri S&T ... was 20th and an All-MIAA selection at the MIAA Championships. 

2015 - Haltom competed in six events in his freshman campaign at Southern ... He had his best finish of the year with an 11th-place finish at Missouri S&T, where he completed the 8k course in a time of 26:24.7 ... He finished 49th at the MIAA Championshisp and finished up his season with a time of 33:24.8 in the 10k NCAA Central Regional Championships. 

Prior to Southern - Haltom prepped at Broken Arrow High School in Broken Arrow, Okla. ... A four-year letter winner in both track and field and cross country, Haltom was a three time All-State selection in cross country, earning honors in 2012, 2013 and 2014. 

Personal - Haltom is the son of Brad and Susan Haltom ... Jared is undecided on his major at Southern.
