The Commonwealth's first African American monument to be placed upon the State Capitol grounds at Harrisburg,Pa has been awarded the designation of a global heritage site by the Toni Morrison Society. Included in the honor is the placement of the prestigious  Toni Morrison Society Bench by the Roadside

Delegates from the Toni Morrison Society will join city, county, and Commonwealth legislative leaders, monument sponsors,  community thought leaders, area poets , invited clergy, and Commonwealth Monument Project Committee members for the 90 minutes dedication event.
