We are the nation’s first and longest-running provider of LGBTQ+-affirmative psychotherapy.

Based in New York City, IHI Therapy Center provides LGBTQ+-affirming mental health care to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We are unequivocally opposed to white supremacy, racism, misogyny, hatred, and bigotry in all forms. Since 1973, we have fought for and supported the mental health of people in LGBTQ+ communities while respecting and fostering their unique identities. In addition to mental health services, IHI provides clinical training to the next generation of LGBTQ+-affirming mental health clinicians and culturally-responsive continuing education to professionals and organizations.
