Building Positive Conditions for Learning at Home

In the 2020-2021 school year, many school districts will rely on remote learning or a hybrid approach using both remote and classroom learning. AIR experts have put together a set of resources to help families and caregivers create safe, supportive, and engaging spaces for students learning at home.

Awareness of California’s Family Leave Policy

Existing research shows women with access to paid family leave have improved health outcomes, among other benefits. But access to this paid time away from work in the U.S. varies by race and income. AIR's Aleksandra Holod explains the benefits of family paid leave, and why AIR funded a study in California to examine the state’s family leave policy.

Disability Employment and Marketplace in Boston and Other Major Cities

Two new research briefs created by AIR, the Ruderman Family Foundation, and the Institute for Educational Leadership highlight data from 10 metropolitan areas about the challenges faced by workers with disabilities and the contributions that disability-diversity can make to the workforce. The first brief measures the pay gap between people with disabilities and their non-disabled peers and where that gap is larger. The second report measures the amount of disposable and discretionary income held by people with disabilities.
