ECAC Announces 2020 DIII Men's Basketball Championship

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced Gwynedd Mercy University will be the top overall seed and host in the 2020 ECAC Division III Men's Basketball Championship. Drew University also receives a first-round bye. Tournament play will begin Wednesday, March 4 at regional sites.

In pod 1, No. 1 Gwynedd Mercy receives a bye as the host for the weekend while No. 2 Albright College will host No. 3 Centenary University

In pod 2, No. 1 Drew University gets a bye to the weekend at Gwynedd Mercy. They are paired with a matchup between the winner of No. 2 PSU - Altoona hosting No. 3 Hood College.

In pod 3, No. 1 PSU - Behrend takes on No. 4 Westminster College. The second half of the pod is a matchup of No. 2 Rutgers University - Newark who hosts No. 3 Alvernia University.

In pod 4, No. 1 Widener University will host No. 4 Baruch College. The other matchup in the pod features No. 2 John Jay College hosting No. 3 New Jersey City University.

The winners of each first-round game will go on to compete in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 6 hosted by Gwynedd Mercy

Game #6: No. 3 NJCU at No. 2 John Jay* - 7:30 p.m.
